Does anyone know how to deactivate the random play function in the Windows Phone 8.1 Spotify application ???

Hey there.

Thanks for your input.

It is true, that it is hard to remove that function. It is built-in for Free user. Unfortunately there is no way to remove Shuffle when you are not on Premium tier, which removes this weird thing!

If you are on Premium tier, simple open Now playing view and remove shuffle here. Button with two strikes.
