i don't have any problems with the app on my phone, but playing back in chrome on my PC it will stop playing all the time. i have to refresh, or close the tab/etc .. it's so annoying i can't take it anymore. what is the g*da*n problem fffs???

i have had to refresh this song 3 times now and still can't make it to the end without playback stopping. wtf, it's like it's getting worse. i have tried clearing browsing data, i have tried incognito mode, give me something else to try.. why can't i listen to music? shouldn't the web player on my PC at home be a no brainer? wtf
it make me sad when music stops playing :(((((
I'm having the same issue on OSX. If I try to play something and leave it open for a minute, I get the following error messages in the console:

This has been happening intermittently for months. I guess it's just barely infrequent enough that I'm not likely to give up on Spotify completely, but, it is both distracting and aggravating, which is the opposite of the reasons I use Spotify in the first place.
Not only do I also have this same problem, my Spotify now only plays songs I browse, not one song I have saved is playable!!! Also HOW IS THIS THE ONLY WAY I CAN RECIEVE HELP???? POSTING ON A FORUM IS NOT THE SAME AS AN IN BROWSER/APP HELP FUNCTION. This is ridiculous. I am paying 10 bucks a month just for access to a website that doesn't work half the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am I going to be entitled to a refund for all these days my player is not working???
I never used spotify web player till today and man ive never experienced so many problems at once. songs sometimes stop playing and i have to close and reload. saved song most of the time won't play. If i mess around with it enough sometimes i can get them to play.
Edit: as i went back to the tab i forgot to mention super slow loads on playlists...if they load at all
I've come to conclussion that spotify web player is biggest piece of **bleep** i've ever paid for. songs constantly stop playing, and as others above me say, now my saved playlist does not even populate fully..
i end up just going to youtube to listen to the songs i want, yet i still pay for this service.. wtf spotify ???????????
i give the web streaming.. two thumbs down.. the milks gone bad.
Hello all! This is a common issue. If you don't have a powerful computer the Web Player will not function correctly. I had similar errors in the console as well. Can you give me your computer specs?

You seriously suggest we need a beefy laptop or desktop just to play things on the Web Player? That can't be the case, surely!
I am a Macbook Pro Retina user and that is powerful enough but still it won't play anything.
Chrome, Mozilla, Safari and Vivaldi all suffer the same issue on this device. Clearing cookies only fixes it for one time only and the issue persists.
I have tested it on Windows, Ubuntu, Android and iOS on the Web Player and I've had the same issue there as well.
