Carplay Default screen

Every time I connect my phone to carplay, it defaults to the music selection menu.  Then when I push the "Now Playing" button, an animation plays, but it still goes back to the menu again.  I have to push it again to get to the Now Playing screen showing the current song playing.  Shouldn't this be the default screen?  What's the point of Spotify Connect if they're having you pick a new song every time I get into the car?

Geez, Spotify, get your own iPhone with an older iOS version and test it yourself. It can’t be that difficult.

Since the most recent updates to Spotify on iOS, I have not had this problem.

I wanted to reply that I’ve had this issue since one of the big IOS 14 update but didn’t realize my Spotify app version was an older version and had been dealing with this for over a year.  I’ve updated it the latest version of Spotify and has fixed this issue!
