My Question or Issue

If I'm casting the sound from Spotify to one of my Google home speakers (via wifia) and then turn on my Bluetooth headset, in order to call someone, the sound from Spotify automatically stops casting to the speaker and starts playing in the headset.

I can not find how to stop this anywhere in the settings, since it's quite annoying.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hey @ChristinaLy,

I think there's a workaround that would get you the functionality you desire 🙂

Connect your Bluetooth device and go to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
Find the headphones through there and select if they are going to be used for Calls and/ or Audio.

Hope this helps! Keep us posted 🙌🏼

Hi Vasil.

Thank you for the workaround.

I tried it and it works.

However, I don't just use the headset for calls. I like to use the headset for listening to podcasts as well.

I guess, I should have mentioned, that when my daughter listens to music, casted from my phone to the speakers, I like to put on my headset and listen to a podcast.

The solution is clever, but not the best solution for me.

So I guess, I will have to accept the slightly annoying setup and manually switch back to casting to the speakers, whenever I turn on my headset and the music stops playing on the speakers and starts playing in my headset.

Best regards

ChristinaLy
