Is there a way to disable New Login email notifications?
As a developer I get a lot of these during development..
I have disabled all notifications I can find, but I still get emails..
Cheers!
The unsubscribe link in the "New login to Spotify" mail don't work, does not navigate to anything.
Hi @carlberg,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community.
At the moment, it's not possible to disable those emails from your account since they're sent for security purposes, so you can be aware of any activity on your account.
As an alternative you can try filtering them as Spam in your email. However, we don't recommend it as they can help you keep track of possible unwanted logins.
Let us know if you have any questions.
I agree make it an option to opt out of new login emails! It is very galling, and clogging up my inbox!
There's a point when security becomes so annoying, the annoyance itself becomes self defeating. Point: I clear my cookies and all that every time my browser closes. You know, for security and privacy. SO...every day I get 5 alerts from logging into Spotify each of the 5 times? Give those of us that absolutely don't care an opt out please. For those that want to keep getting alerts then they don't have to disable them. Freedom!
I use Spotify on my work computer which refuses to save credentials or cookies. So every day, log in, every day another Spotify email telling me I logged in. I KNOW. Thank you
I understand that it is a protection measure for our accounts, but Spotify should make it available for us to choose between receiving either an email or a text upon log in. For me, managing texts is a lot easier than managing emails, especially because I log in and out frequently.
I receive more of these "Here is your code!" emails than I do their promotional ads, and it clogs up my emails heavily. In the past month, I have received close to thirty emails, but the thing is - I don't even use the code. Logging in via password is so much quicker for me, so I never go into my email to access that code, so why make it an unavoidable thing when Spotify presents the option to not even have to use the code in the first place? If it can offer me to log in via password anyway, why not make that an option without having to send me an email for a code?
At the very least, I can manage a text message. It might even be quicker than entering my password. It should at least be an option for us if they are claiming it's necessary for secondary protection measures.
That's exactly the thing. It's done as a form of security, but then you give us the option to log-in without using the passcode anyway. It defeats the purpose.
Hey! Here's an email, someone is trying to log in. Oh, you don't want to use the passcode? Then you can log-in using your password. Why even provide it as an option?
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
