My Question or Issue

I have a wordpress site where I make blog posts with spotify tracks embedded into the site via the wordpress spotify embed widget. As of today when attempting to view the site the spotify tracks are unable to load and give the error "upstream request timeout". After some investigation it appears that common errors could be related to browser data. I have cleared my browser's cache as well as my personal spotify account's cache. This solve's the issue however when I login into my spotify account on the same browser the issue reappears. Thus I believe the issue is specific to my spotify account but I am unsure how to fix it. To be clear, the issue disappears when not logged into the spotify web player (site displays a free 30s preview of the track), however I would like the track to load when I am logged into spotify web player so the whole track can be played in it's entirety. Thanks for your help!

The problem still persist, it happened during October, some days in November, and happening right now including on Spotify documentation.

Anon here, yeah I'm wanting to try this cool features, but i get the same error as mentioned by many other people

Embed player went down again today, about 7 hours ago. Spoke with the support chat about this, according to them, developers are presently looking into this:

"I've checked my resources and our developers are currently looking into this. While we can’t confirm if or when your request will be addressed, we’re thankful for your feedback as it helps inform our decisions moving forward."

Hi there @strawnyg,

Thanks so much for reporting this to us.

We did some digging and this is the case not just on Wordpress, but across any website where Spotify tracks can be embedded. We were able to repro this right here on the Community, so it's definitely not something exclusive to you.

We've gone ahead and reported this internally so it can be promptly investigated. We'll keep you posted on any updates as we receive them. In the meantime, if you have any more relevant info on the topic to share, do let us know.

Cheers!

Same issue here. I am using macOS 15.1 and Google Chrome - the Spotify embeds return the same error message as above.
