My Question or Issue
One day, my Spotify on my PC just stopped working. So I uninstalled & reinstalled, but now I simply cant login. I'll get error message "client_token:101".
Here are the steps I HAVE DONE:
-Restarting PC
-Restarting modem & internet
-Uninstall & reinstall Spotify (millions of time)
-Spotify isnt in my firewall list
-Turned off firewall
-No VPN
-Check other devices, theyre all good - so not a problem with internet.
Does anyone else ever encounter this problem? It's been weeks now and it's still like that.

Hey @Euwin,
Glad to hear you were able to find the root cause! Perhaps it's best to reach out to Kaspersky to find out how you can set Spotify as an exception and prevent this from happening again.
Feel free to share your findings here to help others facing the same issue.
Having this issue too. I have attempted all the above methods. My firewall was turned off and spotify was allowed on public and private. Antivirus was turned off and host file cleared with no fix
Hey @Zaavir,
Thanks for posting in the thread!
Just to check, have you tried a clean reinstall of the app? This will clear saved cache, as well as ensure that you're running the latest version.
Also, do you notice any difference when switching to another internet connection? (WiFi, mobile data via tethering, or going direct via LAN cable)
We'll keep an eye out for your reply.
thanks for your solution. I tried the opposite way, changing the proxy setting from 'No Proxy' to AutoProxy 🤣
Thank you very much. I really didn't know how to solve it, but thanks to you I can listen to Spotify again. I uninstalled and reinstalled spotify a million times and it finally worked. Thank you very much
Hi, I keep receiving this error on the app when I attempt to sign in on my Mac. Spotify works fine on web, and my phone too. Any reason why only the Mac app is doing this?
