My Question or Issue

Good day, I enabled the Spotify developer mode because I wanted to try something. However, that is no longer the case, and I would now like to deactivate or exit the mode. Unfortunately, I haven’t found any button or option for it yet. Could someone please help me?

Hey, @Mateo26! Welcome to the community!

I just want to clarify some details, did you activate developer mode for your phone or for the Spotify app?

If you enabled it for your phone, you can head into your phone Settings, then open System, then Developer Options and disable the toggle for Developer Options in there.

If it is for the Spotify app, could you describe how you did that, please provide as much detail as you can so we can have a better idea of what the next steps to take are.

Let me know!

Cheers,

Jordan

Hello @CryticalAce, good day, and thank you first of all for your feedback. I mean the developer mode on Spotify. That's why I asked in this forum. I went to the website for developer mode because I just wanted to try something out. I logged in with my normal Spotify account, which I also use for listening to music and so on, and clicked that I accept that I get a developer account. But because I just wanted to test something out, which has been cleared up, I don't need the developer account at all anymore. That means I wanted to ask if you can somehow deactivate it or remove it without deleting my normal Spotify account, because that's important to me because I have all my music and podcasts and so on there. That's why I just wanted to ask. Unfortunately, I don't have any more information, because I really just went there, logged in with my standard Spotify account, and then said yes, I'm satisfied with that, that it additionally then gets the developer status.

Hey, @Mateo26!

Apologies for the delay!

I'm not sure I'm understanding entirely right. From my experience using the developers site previously, I don't believe using the developers site should change anything about your account, nor how you interact with the client.

Could I get you to provide more information about how your experience has changed so I can look into this further?

Cheers,

Jordan
