Link Spotify to Bose SoundTouch since new update

Hello,

 

Since this week Bose SoundTouch has been updated with the ability to link it to my Spotify account. But even after linking everything I still can't manage to play my Spotify musics on my Bose.

The SoundTouch should show in the list of devices available to play the music on but mine doesn't show up.

 

Does anyone would have an idea?

also, new update can't solve my problem too. I do not have any problem when I use bose with deezer.

 

I have to use airplay to listen from spotify.



has anyone found any solutions for this problem?
iv brought a bose soundtouch 30 but its having constant freezing/pausing issues when I stream spotify thru it,itunes and internet radio work fine.
Iv been unable to determine if it is the speaker,spotify or my ISP.
My ISP has given me the all clear and iv been given the same solutions from bose/spotify customer support but no joy from either.
I am now at the point of playing spotify thru the aux input to listen to uninterrupted music.

I think it's because of spotify. When I try soundtouch with deezer, there is no problem.

just signed up,but how do I stream deezer to the bose speaker?

Allegedly spotify uses more bandwidth than deezer. 

 

You may try to adapt the required bandwidth in the app under "settings", music services", "spotify" and reducing the "music streaming quality". That should solve the issue.

 

with a 10mbit fiber line I need to reduce the music streaming quality to "fastest streaming up to 128kbit/s"  to avoid continuous hiccups in the streaming of music.  Now it works absolutely perfectly and the decrease in music output is negligible.

For people who ran into intermitent freeze/pause when streaming the Spotify via SounTouch,you probably have the same problem with us.

I think this is the problem on BOSE not the Spotify.

SoundTouch software is being updated between now (Dec 1) and Dec 7, I just got the update and now Spotify is fully integrated into the SoundTouch app! Streams perfectly, and presets now show the name of the Spotify channel, playlist, etc. Plus you can search and have full access to your Spotify music from in the Bose app. Much easier than switching apps. However, I still cannot figure out how to play 2 different Spotify streams at the same time in different rooms? I have a Family account with one primary and one sub-account. But can't use them both at the same time.

YESSS the update did the trick!! Fully enjoying all my Spotify tracks on a Windows laptop through the SoundTouch, thanks for listening to everyone's feedback Bose & Spotify!! Any chance Spotify Connect will be added to the Windows Phone app soon??? 😄

Spotify will appear by updating the software on your Soundtouch via your iPhone/iPad app. You don't need a premium account. Go to your free Spotify account on your iPhone or iPad, start playing music and stream to your Soundtouch with Airplay. (For anyone unfamiliar with Airplay, swipe up the bottom of your iPhone screen. Options come up. One of them is Airplay. Tap on it, choose your Soundtouch system from the drop down and it will stream the music you play on your free Spotify account). You should be able to Airplay pretty much anything from your iPhone/iPad.

Same trouble here, have mac iphone and ipad, soundtouch says i need a premium account wich i have but cant connect through spotify connect only airplay, but yesterday i could

After new update I returned to use spotify. It is better than older ver now but still not perfect.

I have a premium account and I am unable to play Spotify on my Bose Sound Touch. I've had nothing but trouble with this.

Still too many problems. I used to solve problems 😞

Really old thread...  apologies - you seem to understand.  Do you think this is why I can group my Bose speakers & listen via soundtouch / spotify connect on my iphone, but the  "group" doesn't show up on my Mac, just as individual speakers.  I hate paying a man to come in, would rather spend hours of my eyes bleeding trying to Google it !!!  Cheers
