My Question or Issue

When my watch is connected to the phone i have a notification from Spotify that says "Null is connected".

It works fine otherwise, but this notification can't be removed so that's a bit annoying.

Hi Andrezz -

The Spotify App is very poorly designed, and has numerous glitches and bugs with little active development or response on Android, iOS, and especially Windows.

To resolve this nuisance issue, slide-down from top on your home screen to display notifications.  You will see the "null is connected" notification.  Slide that notification slightly to the left to reveal the settings icon for that notification (gear icon).  Tap the gear icon, and then you will be taken to the Spotify App Notifications panel.

In the "Categories" section (lower half of the screen), you will see a slide-switch for "External Applications".  Tap the slide switch next to "External Applications" to turn off the nuisance notification.

Please be aware that you will no longer see the "Spotify is connected" notification after turning this option off.  You can re-enable it by going into your device settings, notifications, and tapping on Spotify and then turning the "External Applications" notification back on.

This will not affect the "playbar" spotify notification (play controls).

I have tested this on my Galaxy 46mm LTE Smartwatch and my Galaxy S9+.

I hope this helps, and I certainly hope Spotify developers take notice and start making some real effort to iron out this and numerous other issues.

Have a great day!
