My Question or Issue

Podcast systematically stops afetr playing beginning ad. restarting the app does not solve the issue. I have to manually move forward and sometimes it does not even work. It is a pain.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

This type of issue is usually related to some damaged cache stored from previous updates. First, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This is often an overlooked step, but it’s more thorough than a quick one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might be causing trouble. 

If the issue persists, let us know if it happens with all of the podcasts you've tried, or just one. Also, would you mind checking if the issue persists on a different device logged in with your account? This will give us a better look at the issue.

Lastly, include in your next response the make, model and OS version of the affected device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running.

Hi,

 

When i play other podcasts, i get no ad. I already reinstalled Spotify many times and it dos nor change much.

 

It happens on windows and android.

 

Android Oneplus7 Oxygen OS 11.0.9.1.GM57BA

 

Android 8.7.70.533

Have you also tried removing your cached data for both your devices as shown here :?
The link from @OscarDC eventually leads to the same steps, as it is for a complete clean reinstall, which differs from the usual one.
We'd also like to ask you to send us the Spotify app versions you're running on your PC & mobile device 🙂


If the issue remains after this, it would be helpful to us if you could upload a video of what happens and send us a link here (could be a Google Drive one, YouTube etc.).
We'll be on the lookout for your response.

Hi,

 

It happens after fresh installs, purge and everything on all my devices (and wife too). It is only on France Inter podcasts AFAIK. I'll try a video in the coming days.
