Problem with Radio Improvement?

I feel like I'm down voting songs on both my PC and Phone when using the radio function (i created radio stations from my playlists) and those songs reappear everytime I turn on the radio function. I also feel like the radio station keeps playing the same songs over and over against and isn't really pulling songs in from the genre or recognizing bands that I do not like. Any suggestions for improving the experience?

Unfortunately the radio has never been very good, although thumbing down seems to give more variety than up to me, although still very repetitive. To find new similar music just click on an artists name you like, and look up the 'related artists on the right hand side. If you have too much time I suppose you could make up a playlist with random tracks from differing related artists. There's not much else you can do. I wonder if the biggest artists on the radio are often being pushed for more radio time..
