Searching through playlists no longer searches the playlists at all when adding a song to playlists

Searching through playlists no longer searches the playlists at all when adding a song to playlists

Android: Pixel 10XL

After completing the latest update (beta user), I can no longer search through my playlists when adding a song to playlists. I have over 300 playlists, and playlist organization in Spotify is already a complete mess so it takes a significantly longer time to find the playlists I'm looking for. I realize this problem has been reported previously, but it says it's been resolved in every post, and this is a brand new issue as of yesterday. I've attached a screenshot of an example, I've typed "80s" in the search bar which should be pulling up only playlists with "80s" in the name, and it doesn't sort them at all. It just continues displaying all playlists as if I haven't searched.

My Question or Issue

Typing in the playlist name and pressing enter does not do anything. I have to exit out of the app and go back in to see the updated search results.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.

Hey folks,

Thanks for reaching out. @RobbieShenanigans, we've moved your post to the Help section and merged it with @hyun1443's since it's describing the same issue.

We currently only support the official release of the Spotify app, so if you're having issues with the Beta version, feel free to report them with the steps under Android - FAQs - How do I report an issue? in this guide.

@hyun1443, can you confirm you're using the Beta version of the app as well? If not, try a clean reinstall instead of the regular one. test with a different device/account and let us know your current app version, so we can investigate further.

Cheers,
