Hello.
I'm not shure what is suposed to check... Can explain it, please?
Hi @LSMelo,
Thanks for getting back in touch.
Head over to your account page > apps to see if you have any 3rd party apps connected to your account.
We'll be on the lookout for your reply 🙂
Cheers!
Hello.
I had a few 3rd part access. I removed all. Will I try again a clean install and see if the strange behaviour remains?
Hey @LSMelo,
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, run a clean reinstall and let us know if the issue is still present.
We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
The issue is still present, with my own playlist or Spotify's playlist...
I don't know what to do more... Instead opening the playlist I'm listening and choosing the song and go on after that... Is the only way to not jump the songs...
Hi @LSMelo,
Thanks for letting us know that.
Just to confirm, could you let us know if the queue shows the songs as they get played, but they are different then how they're shown in the playlist?
On another note, we'd like you to change the sorting of the playlist to, for example, artist and then start playback again by manually tapping one of the songs and see if it jumps around again.
Let us know how it goes. We'll keep an eye out for your reply 🙂
Hello.
Yes. when I open the app and press "qeue" button, I get a list of the next songs. They are played in that order, but they are different as showned in my playlist. if I see my playlist I can understand that "queu" option jumped a lot of songs comparing the playlist order.
Regarding sorting by "Artist", the issue remains. The songs are jumped...
Hey @LSMelo,
Thanks for the info 🙂
Just to double-check- does the issue persist when you log in to your account on another phone?
Keep us in the loop! We'll be right here if you have any questions.
Hello.
Yes, in a new phone the problem persists...
Well, I need to know how to live with this issue...
Hey @LSMelo,
Thanks for your reply and your patience.
This is odd. At this point, the best thing to do is reach out to our Support team so they can take a closer look at the issue. You'll be able to contact them on this page.
You can also share this thread with them so they know all the troubleshooting steps you've already tried.
If anything else comes up, we're always a message away.
Cheers.
This has been happening to me for MONTHS. It happens when I stop listening to a long playlist and then pick it up again the next day. The song finishes out and then skips ahead 10-15 songs and then plays from there. No, shuffle isn't on, for crying out loud.
I have exactly the same problem! Whenever I start up a playlist I was listening to after a break, it will finish the song it's on, then skip a bunch of songs ahead. If I then step it back to the song it should have played next, it will play everything in the proper order until I take a break again.
Hi folks,
Thank you for posting on this thread!
@digger5150 and @geekboy5, please let us know the troubleshooting steps from this thread you have tried so far, this will help us isolate this issue better.
We'll be on the lookout.
I have done a clean install and have confirmed that the playlist is not shuffling or sorted in a different order. (It clearly isn't shuffling, because it jumps ahead five to ten tracks reliably, not to a random spot.) This has been happening for several months, since some update fixed a much more annoying bug that caused it to lose its place in the playlist entirely.
Hey @geekboy5,
Thank you for your reply!
To start, could you try using a different device to see if the issue persists?
Also, can you log in your app with another account, such as a friend's or a family member's? This way we can start determining if this issue is device or account specific.
Keep us posted.
Same issue reported, same proposals of solution from Moods. The fact is that Spotify wont solve or doesn't want to solve this problem, that exists since a long time. Is a shame... Really...
I found the same problem on my wife's phone. Mine was using downloaded songs in offline mode and hers was in online mode without downloads. I don't have another person's account offhand to use to log in.
Hello folks,
Thank you for keeping us in the loop.
@geekboy5 Thank you for testing this. Please let us know the model and operating system of the phones you've used, along with the Spotify version.
Also, if you're able to test your account on a PC it'd be of great help.
@LSMelo Please send us over a video showing your playlist, the queue and how the songs are skipped. This way we can take a closer look at the issue.
Keep us posted.
My phone is a moto x4, software variant google_fi, software channel retus, Android version 9, Spotify version 8.6.48.796. My wife's phone is a Pixel 4a, Android version 11, Spotify version 8.6.48.796.
I don't do much listening on my PC (I mainly use that to assemble my playlists), but my PC doesn't remember where I was when I close it anyway. If I try to leave it on for a while while I do other things and go back, I do not see the problem on my PC.
Again???
