Hi Joan,
Had the team had any luck reproducing and addressing this issue since the last few updates? This issue persists for me and it's been a consistent earsore. If there is info you need I'll gladly provide it. At this point if it's unable to be fixed I will have to switch to a different streaming service.
If you're experiencing songs stuttering at the end on both Android and PC, there could be several reasons behind this issue. Here's a comprehensive guide to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:
Check for Updates:
Clear Cache and Data:
Storage Space:
Reinstall the App:
Check Network Connection:
Try a Different Music App:
Disable Battery Optimization:
Update Software:
Check for Background Processes:
Adjust Buffer Size:
Scan for Malware:
Check Disk Health:
Reinstall the Music Player:
Try a Different Music Player:
Disable Exclusive Mode:
Test with Different Songs:
Use Wired Connection:
By following these steps, you should be able to identify and fix the issue of songs stuttering at the end on both Android and PC.
Maybe we can check if we have mutual circumstances that may cause the issue.
I have an old account created in 2012 or so, that is actually a facebook account. Back when spotify started in Germany that was the only way to have an account.
Also I use last.fm and have my last.fm account linked to my spotify account for scrobbling. Also I use Bose Home Speakers with Alexa, so both corresponding accounts are linked to my spotify account as well. You can check the links here (https://www.spotify.com/de/account/apps/). Additonally I linked Shazam to my Spotify account.
I use a Galaxy S24 Ultra, a european Galaxy S22 and a european Galaxy Tab S6, all of which exibit the same issue.
Sorry to say that, but this is a useless comment by verabetgiris ...
Yeah I've already tried all these fixes, still isn't working. This issue didn't use to be present but since this year it's been nonstop. The fact that the app is running worse now than it did in the past and the technical team doesn't see it as an issue is just kinda sad to me 😞
I made my account back in 2018 or 2019, I also use last.fm but it doesn't create the same issue with my other music players (Bandcamp, Samsung Music Player). I have a Galaxy S21, but the stutter happens whatever device is connected to it (headphones, speakers). Same goes for my computer when connected via Bluetooth to other speakers, only when using Spotify
So I tried again after two months, the issue is still the same. short stutter 1-2 seconds before the next song in about 50% of all cases... baffling
I’ve been experiencing this issue for a long time and have tried all the steps in this thread without success. The problem occurs almost every time a song ends on a row of tracks that are not previously cached. It’s not a long stutter but more of a quick “ducking” sound. Seamless playback almost never happens unless I have the app open and always on screen, and even then, it only sometimes works. Background play makes the issue almost guaranteed (yes, I have changed the battery optimization settings). I’m using a Motorola Edge 30 Fusion, but it also happens on my Windows PC, though less consistently.
It's samsungs fault and they won't admit it. Used to not be a problem, then one update did it. Now every phone has that in it. They're too lazy to look into it to fix it with another update
While I also think that samsung takes a part in this issue, I don't think it's their fault.
1. Spotify is the only app that has this issue. It is not happening in Youtube Music, Amazon Music or Poweramp
2. for me it happens on various galaxy devices with diverse One UI Versions and Patch Levels, and the issue started to happen without any samsung update
3. There are (were?) similar issues with the iOS Client
The first step to make spotify to fix this is to be more vocal about it. As stated here in the thread they didn't even acknowledge the issue up until now. To if anyone is having the issue, they should report it
Hello,
Still no solution ? I have the same issue with my Heos device (Denon AVR), this drives me crazy..
So I guess I must leave Spotify ?
still no solution, and this is after having started multiple threads with their support team detailing the issue painstakingly with videos, images, everything. At one point they said they did reproduce the issue and claimed it was escalated and they'd find a fix soon, then back to copy and paste email templates ripped straight from this website's threads: "We'll happily pass your feedback onto the appropriate team. Be advised however that we cannot say for certain at the moment when or if this is going to get addressed. Make sure to keep the app updated to always benefit from all the latest features and improvements." The leading digital music streaming service cannot fix a bug in their app that ruins immersion and a seamless listening experience. Unbelievable.
😞
Yesterday I noticed that my spotify account was unbinded from my Alexa Account. I had to manually bind it again. Since then, I tested a little bit with my phone and tablet and I didn't encounter this issue yet.
Could it be that it was fixed?!
New App Update and it's back 😐
