Every time I try to play my liked songs, as always, this time Spotify shuffles no matter what I do, and is driving me crazy. Someone knows if this is a known bug or some new "Feature" that's gonna finally make me change to Amazon Music
Hey @jismaelv,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome. We hope you don't mind us moving your post out of the Chat section to one of our Help boards as it fits better here.
This type of issue is commonly related to some damaged cache that might be affecting the proper behavior of the playback in your liked songs. In this case, we'd first recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This process will replace damaged files and ensure you're running the latest version of the app.
If the issue persists, include in your next response the make, model, and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.
We'll be on the lookout.
this just started happening to me too and it's driving me insane. happening on my phone, computer, and on sonos
this started happening to me to on multiple devices.
how can I fix this?
it's driving me crazy
Yea, clear your Queue it worked for mme
I use iPhone 16.7.10, Pixel 15, and on Windows. This problem is happening with all of the devices. I've already reinstalled on all 3 devices
I’m playing Spotify lists and it continues to shuffle even though shuffle is turned off. What gives? This has been a consistent problem. Why don’t they fix it?
Same here. I’ve been having this issue for years on multiple phones, Spotify and IOS versions.
I just got my subscription yesterday, and the shuffling while disabled was driving me crazy. Thank you for this tip. IT WORKED!!!
This sh*t happens to me as well. I even try to deselect and in front of my eyes it changes bak to shuffle again, cant turn it off. This is in my list liked songs. FIX IT!
Hi - I have tried all the tips I can find multiple times in and outside the Spotify Community with no luck. Spoity will play a playlist for 3/4 songs then starts playing songs in the playlist out of order. Same issue across various play list. I look at the queue that is loaded with a list of songs when I never added any songs to the queue. I would think the queue would be completely empty. (There is no icon to empty the queue?) I have had this issue minimum 2 months at least. No issues before that... Google Pixel 8, Android version 15. Spotify version 9.0.44.478. This is really annoying and frustrating as to all the time I have used trying to resolve this. I am a Spotify fan and I need someone to help resolve this. Thanks.
Issue: When listening to an unshuffled playlist (i.e. shuffle setting is off), closing the app causes the playlist to shuffle.
Duplicate Steps:
Not sure why this is the default behavior, I can start a shuffled playlist and close it, re-open it hours later and it still remain in the same listing order. While starting an unshuffled playlist causes it to become shuffled even when the setting is turned off.
Hey @G-Beray & anyone else who might still be experiencing this,
Take a look at the reply from @OscarDC and see if going through the mentioned troubleshooting steps would help you out 🙂
Another user has also mentioned clearing the play queue so that's worth the shot as well!
In case the issue remains, let us know what your affected device is, as well as its OS version and your Spotify app version and we'll gladly have a further look into this for you. Cheers, folks!
