My Question or Issue
Whenever I play something, the person who is on the same Wi-Fi as me, and is also using spotify, receives a request to join my session. The problem is that I didn't create any session, and it's an inconvenience, because a notification keeps popping up for them saying:
"(me) is listening here (on my device).
Join her session / Not now"
How do I deactivate this type of invitation, even though I haven't created any sessions? My social settings are already all disabled.

Hey @lelefs,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.
When you're connected to a speaker, the app has the option to allow other users to use it and control it if they are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. However, you have the option to turn it off.
To do so, on the Now playing view, hit the name of the device currently playing on the bottom left part of the screen. Then, you'll see the option "Multiple people can join and control this speaker" below the speaker's name. Turn it off, and it will prevent other users from joining your session.
Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, the Community is just a post away.

How does a user turn off these notifications? I have thousands of people on the same corporate wifi network. I don't know the people who I'm getting notifications about and would prefer not to see these notifications unless I follow them or if they're on my same premium account.
Hey @ryanbbenedict,
Thanks for reaching out.
It's currently not possible to disable these notifications, however we appreciate your feedback and we've made sure to forward it to the relevant team.
Take care,
