Spotify randomly stops playing when connected to speaker

Hi

 

I've been a heavy premium Spotify user since more than 4 years now. Since about 2 months now, I'm having an issue where Spotify randomly pauses when running on my two MacBooks (not at the same time) and connected to my bluetooth speaker.

 

I've tried reinstalling the app and everything. It's just not working. 

 

Please tell me what to do next. If I can't find a solution now, I'll have to quit Spotify. Service has become really bad and it's very hard to even contact App Support.

If a simple reinstall of the Spotify app across your devices didn't help we recommend trying a clean reinstall as well. This reinstall is more thorough and will remove corrupted data from previous installations that could be causing the issue. 

 

In case you see no difference after the clean reinstall, check your hosts file for entries that need to be deleted. Follow the steps described here on how you can do that.
