Yamaha RX-V681 won't play Spotify

Hey there,

I have a Yamaha RX-V681 for over 2 years now. Worked perfectly with Spotify Connect until yesterday. Now it doesn't play any sound. 

I can connect Spotify to the device. The green light is on. When I use the On Screen Display I can see Spotify, flip thru the songs, etc. but... no sound is coming out of the device.

When I use other inputs (TV, PC, PS4) the sound is perfectly fine.

When I use Spotify Connect with MusicCast devices it works perfectly fine.

This morning the sound did play, but for about 10 minutes and then it went silent again. All looks good, just... no sound.

Any clue?

I used Spotify Chat support eventually, and they were awesome.

I had to run a hard reset on my receiver and since then all is working fine.

hey, i'm in the same boat. what does hard reset mean? will i lose all my settings?
