adding podcast by url ... why can't spotify answer this question?

Users have asked many times how to add a podcast by url.  The only non-answer was this: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Closed-Ideas/Podcasts-Searching-for-particular-Podcast/idi-p/153199...

All other answers to this question simply point to this non-answer.  That's pathetic.  If Spotify can't provide basic customer service, then I'm going to ditch it.

This applies to using Spotify on all devices - premium version or otherwise.

So many of the podcasts I subscribe to have private paid feeds through Substack or their own private setup. Does Spotify really plan to exclude these? Ridiculous! That's about to **bleep** off a large segment of the loyal podcast listening crowd.

Does anyone but me believe that Spotify is or is planning to charge podcasters to be listed? If so it is in their business interest not to allow end users to specify a podcast by URL.

There is another problem with the lack of supporting podcast URLs. I listen to a podcast that can be easily found on Spotify, and I can start following it. This podcast is supported on Patreon, and I pay to get additional podcast content exclusive to those who support them. I can't add the additional content to Spotify, although the leading podcast is already on their platform. So you need a different podcast app to enjoy this added content which makes no sense because the main podcast is already supported on Spotify.

i am 'voting' with my attention and money. my family has switched to Apple Music for music, and i don't listen to spotify podcasts.
