"Fans also like" section missing on mobile devices

"Fans also like" section missing on mobile devices

Hey folks,

We've received some reports that the "Fans also like" section is missing under Artists' profile pages. The issue seems to be affecting both iOS and Android users.

This is being investigated.

You will get no reply from @Spotify and the function is not coming back.

It is still available in older versions of the app.

I understand it is a test, but I am a pazing user so I would like to use this feature, how can I get it back?

I am thinking about canceling Spotify due to zour neglicence in fixing issues (Discover weekly sucks since years) or deciding that due to a "test", you remove a feature I was enjoying.

Hi mate, my sub already ended so I am here mostly to notify people. The function is removed purposefully and it is not coming back. The feature is present in every single music streaming service available other than Spotify so I honestly recommend you take this as an incentive to switch. You can use an app called SongShift to transfer your music to a better service. You will NOT get a reply from @Spotify regarding this other than the canned one their bots already provided. Its time to move on and accept that we do not have enough value to Spotify for them to even acknowledge us...

This is a bad "test" and the feature should be returned to the mobile client.

Please don’t get rid of this feature. It sets Spotify apart and is one of the main reasons I have Spotify to begin with.

I am missing the “fans also like” section on my account. It has been a great way to discover new artists and I am very displeased not to have that option anymore.

As of now it currently is still missing the latest version of the app, at least on my iPhone. I'm so disappointed as this was one of my most utilized features in the app. Now I'm not nearly as motivated to use Spotify and will likely be trying Soundcloud now.

Has anyone else had their “Fans Also Like” section disappear under artists? I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as restarting the app multiple times, yet nothing.

I have a friend that works in Spotify tech and he seems to think I’m in “an experiment”

Any ideas how to get this back? It was my favorite part of the app!

I agree with all of the above, and will investigate Spotify alternatives that provide this feature. You just had to fix something that wasn't broken, did you?

Hey there @Trahe90! Thanks for your feedback!

The availability of these features can vary over time and between markets, depending on the agreements we have in place with our rights holders. We add new content to Spotify daily, so if you can’t find something right now, it may appear (or reappear) soon.

You can read more about this here.

Hope this helps clear things up!

Note: I'm not a Spotify employee.

I'm using the Android version of the app (v 8.9.44.368) and I can no longer find "Related Artists" on an artist's page. The related artists feature is great for music discovery and exploration. I believe this feature still exists in the desktop app. Let's bring it back to mobile.

Still missing this feature. It is one of the reasons I use spotify over other services. I really hope it comes back soon.

Same issue. iOS. What is happening, why it is not solved?

I think it's safe to assume this "test" needs to end based on this threads feedback.

Spotify needs to update the users that are being impacted and give a timeline.

This is ridiculous.

Hi,

One of the best features IMO on spotify which was great for discovering new music was the section near the bottom of the artist’s page which showed similar artists based on what other fans of the same artist would listen to.

Not sure why this has been removed, but it was a great feature and now it’s gone it’s slightly harder to find new artists in particular scenes.

Artist radio does something similar but i’ve found it’s never as helpful and usually just suggests the more generic/commercial songs from that genre that I already know.

Lets’s bring back this feature!

Spotify is raising rates while denying some subscribers a vital feature. Please give us one reason to keep our subscriptions. Your silence is telling.

Mine is gone too, please bring it back!!

Yes.
