setting device password

setting device password

Hey guys,

 

i am trying to set a device password but when i go to the page where you can set it and send it to my email that is linked to my account i get this error message

"We're sorry, your email address was not available, please try to log out, log back in and try again. If the problem continues, please contact support."

 

any advice?

What do you mean device password. and what hardware and software are you using

Why is not simply possible to set a device password? I'm using Spotify Premium service for years now and I would like to use it on my Onkyo device. I had an old mail address on Facebook so I changed it but now I get the same error message (above).

Would be great if it'd be possible just to set the password when logged on the website.

Please help me!

Hi I would like to help you but first I would like to know what ou mean by device password.

Spotify is looking into an issue with device passwords at the moment. For now, the workaround is to head to facebook.com > Settings > Security > App passwords > Generate app passwords, and generate one to use with Spotify.

I tried to generate a password but it didn't help as well.

I still can't login with that password.
