why am I receiving regionally relevant adds in the middle of podcasts?

I am a premium family member and had thought we paid to remove these interruptions

Spotify doesn’t play or include ads that interrupt the music listening experience of Premium subscribers. However, some podcast creators may include third-party advertising, host-read endorsements, or sponsorship messages in their episodes.

This issue only occurs in podcasts, not music.

I am not referring to host-read endorsements or sponsorship messages.

These third party adds are inserted in the podcast stream post podcast creation and are regionally specific for my location.

The podcast creators decide if they want to include advertisements in their podcasts as podcasts themselves are not monetized. This includes all kinds of advertisements, including the one you mentioned. 🙂

No way this is an intentional addition from the podacst creator. I've just had one intertupt mid sentence, mid word! 
Spotify have let Podcasts have ads on Premium, then started sneaking in their own ads, now they're interupting. It's **bleep**.

I am having the same problem. 

Over the last month or so, I started getting local adds interrupting podcasts. 

I have a premium subscription. I believe I shouldn't have to get such interruptions.

But that is not what I'm experiencing. 

The local adds sometimes play on top of the podcasts. 

I am pretty familiar with the adds that podcast creator edit in the middle of their content. But I believe what I am getting here is different. 

Fact is, I cannot let Spotify know about this.
