My Question or Issue

We recently moved from one country to another, and it won't work to invite family members to join my family plan now- it gives me an error that we're not at the same location.  I read the instructions to change the country in my profile, but apparently the only way to do it is to change your method of payment to one issued in the new country. I can't do this-- is there any other way to verify the address for my family members?  We definitely live in the same house in the same country!

Hi there @jrf042,

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

Premium Family is a plan for up to 6 family members who live together. This means all accounts must be set to the same country in order to be part of the plan. If your account is set to a different country, the members won't be able to join. Now, in order to change the country settings from your Premium account you must update the payment details to one issued in the new country. The changes take effect from your next billing date.

Once all accounts have the country settings, the other members will be able to join.

Thank you. Unfortunately I cannot update the payment settings, as I do not
have a method of payment issued in my country of permanent residence. What
else can be done?

Hi @jrf042,

Thanks for the reply. If you use a free account, you can freely change the country depending on where you are currently. However, for Premium accounts the account country is always defined by the payment method and there is no other way to change the country. This is especially important for Family plans, as the settings of all accounts must match for the verification to work, as mentioned by @Susan_GP

Hope this clears things up.
