Hello,
My name is Piotr. I used to use Amazon Music Unlimited and today I switched to Spotify Premium Family.
I now have the following problem. After I bought Spotify and also installed the app, I reinstalled the Alexa app (I have an Android phone). There I reconnected my Echo Dot and also paired my Spotify account in the Alexa app and also set up Spotify as the default player so that I only have to say "Alexa play..." and no longer "Alexa play.... on Spotify".
However, every time I now want to play music either via the Alexa app on my mobile phone or directly on the Echo Dot and say any song, Alexa replies: "...(song, by artist).... on Amazon Music". Why? I have paired Spotify and set it up as the default player.
If I then say: "Alexa play ...(song).... on Spotify", Alexa tells me: "To use Spotify you have to download it first, I'll direct you to the App Store".
What kind of a joke is this?
I took the Family Account so that my children each have their own account. I also set up separate Amazon accounts for each child and my wife and installed the Alexa app. And everyone has their own Echo Dot on their account. I have assigned the other Spotify Family accounts to each Amazon account accordingly. But they have the same problems as I do.
What is the reason for this?
Please ask for help.
Thanks a lot.
Greetings
Piotr Pozorski
