My Question or Issue

Sent a link to invite my mom. She has an account but it says her email isn’t linked to a Spotify account. It is. She has one. She was on my plan and somehow got taken off. We tried incognito and it still says the same thing. It won’t add her to my plan. We live at the same address. Help?

Is she currently still able to access her account through the Spotify app or was she logged out of it?

Max, yes she is able to but it has commercials now. She should be on my account but when she clicks to accept, it says her email isn’t associated with a Spotify account. Then when she clicks join and enters her email….it says that her email is associated with a Spotify account. It’s weird.

Thanks for letting me know.

 

It’s a good idea for the her to first check her login details in the Spotify app. She can do this by going to Settings > Account to confirm the email address associated with her account.

 

When accepting the Premium Family plan invite, she should use these same login details. It’s also important she selects Log in instead of Sign up, as trying to create a new account with an already-used email will result in the error message, "This email is already associated with a Spotify account".
