How to get multiple Alexa's to play from different Spotify A/C's

How to get multiple Alexa's to play from different Spotify A/C's

We have a Spotify Premium Account with 4 individual users.

Each one of us has an individual Alexa speaker in our respective bedroom (Every Alexa was purchased using the same Amazon account, and so they are all registered to that one Account)

We also each have our own tablet/mobile device with both the Spotify and the Alexa Ap installed.

Each person’s tablet/mobile is logged into their own Spotify account.

The problem we have is that we cannot get each individual Alexa to play music from that person’s Spotify account.

ie -  if Alexa “A” is playing music in one room and you ask Alexa ”B” to play music in another room, then Alexa ”A” will stop playing.

How do you link individual Spotify accounts to a specific Alexa?

Using the search function on here I have seen people advise users to set up an Amazon family account and so I have also tried this but it still does not work.

Is there an additional step where you then have to assign Alexa devices to the specific amazon users?

If so, how do you do this??

Hi, having spent an infuriating day trying to sort this around a year ago I had another attempt today and ended up speaking to someone in Canada who could not resolve my UK issue which is the same one I now understand so many of us are having with Spotify and Amazon.

Come on Spotify this is beyond a joke if it is has taken you 6 years and you still cannot be bothered to rectify the problem that is ridiculous and someone needs to be held to account.

In the meantime though (having spent hours on this again) this is another Premium member you will be losing to Amazon music as I have had enough of the problems which are covered widely in so many other posts.

So I am trying to get my family set up with linking Alexa and Spotify. I have a spotify family premium account and I cant seem to be able to set my child up with connecting her Alexa Show 5 to her specific Spotify account so that I dont have to essentially share the alexas with different music choices. I have 2 Show 8s and 1 show 5 and I just cannot seem to be able to get my youngest set up. The oldest kid just made it by making linking her adult amazon account to mine but I am limited to only 2 adults on the account. So it seems to be an issue of not being able to link them due to the adult/teen differences. Does anyone know how to solve this? I have 3 family members and a full family Spotify account, is there no way to make sure each member can use their OWN Alexa for their OWN Spotify account?

It would seem that this is simply not possible, except if you set up individual Alexa (Amazon) accounts for each of your family members. Not just family member profiles, I mean a fully independent Amazon account.
This really is an issue to break the use case. I ended up not using Spotify on Alexa devices at all any more...

But if we want to connect only one Spotify account to Alexa, how do we choose which family member in a Spotify Family account. It currently defaults to the main family member and I can't find anyway to change this. It seems Alexa is unaware that family accounts exist with different members within the same account. This makes using Alexa and Spotify very problematic.  Is there any way to select a family member within the account?
