My family members cannot listen to their own music playing. If their songs plays and I want to play a song on my device then it switches over to my device and stops playing on their devices. How do I fix this as I want every family member to play and listen to their own selection at their convenience without impacted my selection, everyone have android cellphones.

This type of ussie happens when all the Family plan members are logging in with the same owner's account. Remember that in the Family plan, each user has their own account where they can have their own playlists and play them without interfering with the playback of other users.
You can check how to invite other users to be part of your plan with the steps of this article.
After being invited, all users must log out from the account they have currently logged on their devices and log back in with their own credentials.
This should do the trick, but if you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Cheers!

Many thanks OscarDC, ur suggestion worked for me.
I am having this issue but I am logged into my own profile, my mother is logged into her own profile yet her music is playing on my profile. I will switch it back to what I was listening to, but then it switches back over automatically to what my Mom is listening to. (again both logged into different profiles on the family plan. If you look on my playlist it will show reggae/hip hop then Roxy Music/Frank Sinatra lol (who I dont mind but again this is my Moms music playing on my profile.) I have even called her and asked her what was going on and she was having the same issue on her end of the music changing mid songs.
Hi there @Dru_Peacock,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community!
To begin with, we recommend that both of you select the option to Sign out everywhere from your Account overview page. Just scroll down and you will see the option. Once done, you will need to log back in from your devices. Check if that helps.
If not, let us know if this happens when you or your mother listen to music through a speaker (such as an Amazon Alexa or Google Home), or if it happens while listening on any device.
We'll keep an eye out for your reply!
This happens to us when we use and Amazon Alexa device. What should we do?
Hi @Mvcolonel,
Thank you for your reply in this thread.
To begin with, we recommend checking out this thread for more info on using Spotify with Amazon speakers. Spotify should work well when each member of the family has their own Alexa account linked to their own Spotify account. That way each user will be able to listen to Spotify on their respective devices.
Here are the instructions on how to link each Spotify account to its respective Alexa account.
However, if your inquiry is not related to that info or it's different, send over more details about what's happening so we can take a look and give you a hand.
Keep us posted!
I've been having this same issue with my Echo Show FOR YEARS! We have tried everything, logging out in, reinvites, resetting devices. Still, when I am in a room playing spotify on the echoshow it starts playing the same music on my husband Webplayer on his PC. WTAH?? This is so frustrating
