My friend can't edit playlist I invited them to collaborate, whether playlist is private or public. My friend also followed the playlist they collaborated on, but still could not edit.

Help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out!

You can ask them to unfollow the playlist, then send them a new invite as a collaborator. They should copy and paste the invite link in the app's search bar - that should do the trick.

Note: collaborative playlists are not yet supported on the Web Player, so they should use the desktop or the mobile app instead.

My Question or Issue

My friend created a playlist and invited me to it. I can see the playlist, but I cannot contribute. The link she sent is like this:

I cannot find any documentation on the HTTP GET parameters. But she says she made sure to not share the playlist, but invite me as a collaborator.

We tried the other way around as well, I created a playlist and invited her. My link looks like this:

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/XXX?si=XXX&pt=XXX&pi=XXX 

There is an additional parameter "pt" there.

Can you tell me what is wrong? It would also be great of you could improve the UI and UX, because this inviting to collaborative playlists is just extremly confusing.
