New User - Family Premium questions

I have just signed up as a new user (previously used another platform).

I am going to sign up to family premium so that I can share with my wife and son.

My son already has a spotify premium account that he pays for - the idea is to split the cost 3 ways which will save him a few £££ each month.

When I invite him to the family plan....

1. Will his listening history and suggestions still be available to him?

2. Will his current personal plan stop automatically and the payments stop being taken from his bank account?

The above assumes that he will use the same email address / user name that he uses at the moment.

Thanks for posting in the Community.

 

If you son uses the same account he has the Individual subscription on to accept the invitation to the Family plan, his Individual subscription will automatically be cancelled and his account will become a member of the Family plan.

 

The music collection and taste preferences on an account (or anything non-subscription related) is independent of the subscription type and is not affected by a subscription change. Your son's music library is safe.
