Son not receiving premium family even when added to plan

My Question or Issue

My son receives the email link to join family, he follows the link to join, I receive an email notification that he has joined, he appears on my account as a plan member, but his installed app still doesn't access premium features and continues to play adds. His account shows that he is still on a free plan.

I have removed and added him. He has restarted his phone, logged out and back in, and uninstalled and reinstalled the Spotify App. Nothing has resolved the issue.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome. 

If your son appears as a plan member, it's possible that the account joined to your plan might be different to the one he's using. So first, we'd recommend to your son to log out from the current account and log back in.

If the issue persists, it's possible that the Premium account may have different credentials to log in to. In that case, we’d also recommend to your son trying different credentials and login methods as mentioned in this article to see if they can find the Premium account.
