My Question or Issue

I currently live in Japan, and for collage I am going to study in the US. My account region is set to Japan, and on the SheedID page I cannot find USA as a region, therefore I can't select my university to get the student discount. It feels rather ridiculous that I can't get the Spotify Student Discount unless I have a US payment method.

Is there a way for me to get the US student discount without having to create a US payment method? It sounds ridiculous to make a US bank account for the sole purpose of Spotify.

If you’re at an eligible university, you can get Premium Student even if you’re abroad. 🙂

However, your account’s country settings need to match the country of your university. And as you already mentioned, you also need to use a payment method issued in that country.
