I signed up for the student account by mistake i had been previously using premium with the vodafone offer  and hadnt realised i had done the student one till it looked for verification and the card has been charged, can that be refunded back to the card

Since you didn't complete the sign up process, the charge shouldn't go through. It should get back to you within a few business days.
