So i manually signed up fkr the student discount. 

When I checked my account it said the I'll be charged 9.99$ next month for premium. Do I have to manually pay up front for the student discount or will spotify automatically do it?

Keep in mind that we use the good folks at SheerID to verify your student credentials. The verification can take a few days. If you’re having trouble signing up, you can submit for the manual verification process here. As a heads up, this can take up to 12 hours to complete.

Regarding the $9.99 charge you mentioned, it's possible that you signed up to the Premium subscription at the standard rate instead. In that case, you'll need to wait until the student discount is applied to your account in order to be charged at the discounted rate. Once that's done, you'll start being charged at the discounted rate in your next billing cycle.

While still in getting charged 9.99$ for premium.
