Dear Spotify,

I am writing as a Spotify user to express concern about your decision to allow the advertising of Dan Bongino's podcast on your platform.

Mr. Bongino is widely known for promoting misinformation, attacking democratic institutions, and encouraging distrust toward journalism. He has frequently forwarded the false narrative that the 2020 election was "stolen" from Trump. Just today, Bongino allowed his guest to share anti-Constitutional ideations about our elections. Allowing his content or advertising to appear on Spotify gives legitimacy and reach to messaging that many listeners view as harmful and divisive.

Spotify has stated values around responsibility, community standards, and the impact of voices amplified on its platform. Continuing to accept advertising from figures associated with repeated misinformation runs counter to those values and risks alienating users who expect a higher level of accountability in what Spotify chooses to promote.

I ask that Spotify reconsider its advertising standards and take responsibility for who is allowed to promote themselves through your service.
