Spotify issue with Amazon devices

Hi

Just wondering if Spotify are aware that there’s a known playback issue with Spotify on Amazon Alexa devices?

When I say “known” I mean that I contacted Amazon and they were happy to tell me that they are aware of the issue which is affecting many of their customers but that they don’t expect the issue to be resolved until sometime in 2026???

Not great if you’re a paid Spotify subscriber!!!

Can you guys do anything about this?

What’s the playback issue? I’m currently having the problem that I can’t stream to Alexa from the Spotify app itself. It gives me all the options for streaming, apart from Alexa. My PS4 and my TV and neither of those are what I want to stream music on. But Alexa regularly plays the wrong song, so it’s the only way to get the songs I want.

I never got the problem resolved so I cancelled my Spotify Premium and moved to Amazon Music. Problem solved.
