Family Subscription

Family Subscription

I had Spotify, then my daughter started using my account and my husband, and now it's super annoying.  If we switch to the family plan will I lose my playlists and podcasts, etc that I've accrued over years?  Or will they stay as I will be the manager account?  Can we move playlists from my account to someone else's (ie my daughter can take her playlists with her, lol)

Hi HisSarai,

So, firstly, no. You won't lose any of your playlists as you are just upgrading, not getting a whole new account.. Secondly, there isn't an exact simple-method of transferring playlists, but there are a few work-arounds... So, to move playlists to new accounts there are a few ways. First way is that your daughter creates a new account and can go to your account and like the playlist, so she gets it. The other method is that she can go to Spotify (preferably the app on a laptop) then manually move each playlist across.

As said by shubhamboseroy, here:
"You can create a new account and get Liked Songs, Playlists and Follower data transferred from the old account. But they can't transfer listening history, weekly recommends etc. to the new account. Your listening algorithm will build from scratch in the new account. If you have premium subscription, your remaining premium time can be transferred (please confirm with your agent on that), but you'll have to input payment details in the new account again."

"However, if your issue (like mine) is simply that you do not wish to use Facebook to log in to Spotify because you have deactivated your Facebook account (and it gets reactivated when you log in). You can ask your agent to update your email address and send you a password reset. That way, you can use your new email and new password to log in to your current account without having to go through Facebook."

Hope this is a solution, if it is please leave a like, or accept as a solution, thanks~
