Hello everyone,
99% of the music I listen is via Spotify. I have three devices: PC (Windows), IPad and Android. No matter what device I've used, some hours or days later I notice duplicated and also triplicated scrobbles, then I need to check up three or four days of scrobles to clean up the total mess on my registers. I've tried everything, like log out and log in on Spotify, disable and enable the scrobbles on Last Fm website (via "settings") and the problem is never solved. What can I do? And what the heck is this problem? Is it Spotify or LastFm possible bug?
Hey @IgorZM
Do you happen to have some other scrobblers installed on your phones, for example Pano Scrobbler? Usually that's the reason why one would get double or triple scrobbles.
If you do, go through their settings and make sure they don't scrobble Spotify.
Also, to ensure the connection between Spotify and last.fm is good, do the following:
1. disable Spotify Scrobbling in last.fm's settings
2. revoke access for Last.fm Scrobbler in Spotify's app settings
3. reconnect Spotify Scrobbling in last.fm settings.
Also make sure to revoke access for any apps you don't use. : ) This should hopefully clean things up. At least that's a surefire way to resolve the Spotify Not Scrobbling issue.
Let me know how it goes!
Hey! Thanx for the appointments!
I don't have any apps for scrobble installed in on Android or in the iPad! I have it on my PC when I use Windows Media Player.
Last weekend I re-install Spotify on Android. Apparently the problem was solved. But if this annoying thing happen again I'll be back here to inform and dig for answers.
Cheers, mate!
Oh, glad to know the reinstall helped you out! And sure, if you have any questions or issues, I'll be here to help : )
Unfortunately, no deal after reinstalling Spotify on Androis. But I minimized the hypothesis, putting the focus on the Android scrobbles. The Android is the problem, apparently. Listening to music on Windows or Ipad no problem. But once I made a scrobble on Android I have two or three days of scrobbles instantly messed up! Last try: unable the Spotify playback. Thats the only thing I can imagine at this time would help on it. Remember: I don't have any apps for scrobble on Android device.
@IgorZM That's strange. I haven't had this issue myself (I also have Android phone with Spotify installed, and Pano Scrobbler is installed for scrobbling Bandcamp there), but looking at last.fm support forum, I see a few threads with Android users having issues like yours.
Here's one of the threads.
This one has the issue, but with Youtube Music.
Disconnecting and reconnecting the scrobbler might be a temporary fix. I do wonder if you use offline mode on Spotify? Also, do you close the app or does it keep running on the background?
