API - Expose song genre

I've built myself a pretty neat little program that will scan through all of my liked songs, and sort them into playlists based on which genre it thinks they are. I've got a lot of songs, so this kind of automation is needed.

My actual request, is that the spotify API just exposes the genre on specific songs. At the moment, I have to pull it through from the artist. There are two, very common, scenarios where it fails. Either the artist is someone that makes lots of different songs that can be categorized differently, or when a song has lots of artists featured.

To be able to get the genre of a song would be huge, and put the API above all others.

Same here. wish it exposes it instead of artist which is mostly not even available or null.
