My Question or Issue

When I copy a link to a song I want the the player to start playing the song without having to do a second click on the play button.

I was hoping appending a "?play" to the url would do this - but it seems like that information is either wrong or just outdated.

Is this possible?

It's ?go=1

That would be nice - but that's not working for me either.

<iframe style="border-radius:12px" src="https://open.spotify.com/embed/track/47QBkTm1YIJ063xgQghK6B?go=1" width="100%" height="352" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" allow="autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture" loading="lazy"></iframe>

<a href="https://open.spotify.com/track/47QBkTm1YIJ063xgQghK6B?si=17487be8ff1247c4&go=1">link</a>

That's weird, because it work in this example at Stack Overflow.

Interesting.
That doesn't work for me neither. Not in Brave and not in Safari.

It will only work when a link opens a Spotify app directly.

It opens the web app and I am logged in.
You are saying it has to be the native app? That's odd.

Yes, and I just checked: ?play=1 would normally also work.

I guess that turns this into a feature request for the web interface then.
Uff. Bummer.

Thanks for checking on your side.
