My Question or Issue

Hello,

I wanted to create a new app in the Spotify Developer Dashboard.

It first asked me to verify my email, I did it and now there is no message.

Then now, I got this when I try to create an app : 

"Something went wrong, we were not able to create your app. Please try again later."

I already have an old app that is still working.

I just want to create a new one...

I have the same issue all day I keep getting the "something went wrong" error.

Having the same issue, trying to use this for the same thing... Happy to see it's not something I'm doing wrong, irritated that this seems to be an issue that goes back months and is recurring for many people.

Same here. Seems to be an authorization issue. In the web console I get a 401 error.

So possible issues:

1. Something is missing on our accounts that should be there (like the correct role) or permissions

2. Their API should allow our users to access it but it doesn't.

Anyway, hope it gets sorted out soon.

Is it because I am in a familly and I am not the owner ?

I think not because I was able to do an app last time.

The only new thing that happened is the message asking me to validate my e-mail adress, which I did.

no i think spotify for dev is just broken right now, hopefully fixed soon because i need spotify on my stream deck lol

Same issue, I use to be able to make an App but now it keeps erroring

I have the same issue. I have this error in the web console : status: 401, message: "Missing required permissions."

I tried with another account on my computer and it works so the problem comes from my account, which has Premium for Students
