New projects showcase

Solved!

New projects showcase

I can't find anywhere on

https://community.spotify.com/

a place/thread for developers to showcase their projects, look for tester or feedback.

Is it allowed to post applications link here?

I think would be nice to be able what other developers are up to.

Ill create another thread specifically for my app (a simple Windows / uwp) spotify remote in case anybody would like to help or test it.

I had this same doubt these days. I made a project that compares how internationally diverse an user music taste is compared to users from all over the world. I was looking for places to show it and maybe receive feedback, see if it is fit for the extension request or things like that.

There's actually a page that says to developers to showcase their projects. To get to it, I open the dashboard and then click the hamburguer button and then Community.

Since it seems to be ok, here's my project link: https://cartogrify.web.app/

Any feedback, suggestions and opinions are very welcome and greatly appreciated!

I think it's because the development mode only allow registered testers. A person that tested my app has gone into this problem too but it solved after I registered him. Yes, I can add you, just need your Spotify account email. I have applied to the extended quota mode but it's yet to be reviewed.

The showcase subreddit/discord could be a good ideia but maybe it's more effective to showcase the app in communities like r/spotify, r/truespotify and discords servers like The Spotify Hangout because you can reach more people there.

I am pretty sure they (spotify) used to have a curated list of 3rd party apps.

It is always odd visiting forums and communities of these huge companies with millions of users and pretty much 0 engagement.

I guess we could create a showcase discord/subreddit.

Open a new thread here and Ill post my feedback there.

looking nice. At least before the app did reach the 403

 nice popup feedback btw.

Did you apply for the extension?

Here is my original community post:
SP-Remote Windows UWP (Windows Store) app - The Spotify Community
it didn't receive any reaction or request to be included as tester so far.

Here what I submitted for extension:

The "extension request" didn't triggered any message or mail beside the notification in the dashboard and the ability to withdraw the submission.
I don't think they have any automatic check / preapproval like Microsoft have in their store.
I doubt Spotify have more that a couple of submission per week so it would make very little sense to implement any automatism.
They know exactly how many requests an unapproved app does and that could trigger a lot of automatic feedback.
Spotify community here have the whole Stars programs  (that look they just use automatic answer to posts anyway) that could be used to give some visibility to 3rd party apps and support the development of new submissions.

Sure, those subreddit and discord works:
A place to discuss Spotify! (reddit.com)
Spotify (reddit.com)
https://discord.gg/spotify

But its not that creating a specific sub for apps and developers cost anything and less need to deal with clueless admins and playlist spammers 🙂 . Even here the BTS fans hijacked the forum with the blessing of the moderators
Making the Official Spotify Playlist of This Is V - The Spotify Community

I just like the idea of an indipendent place moderated by developers where we can showcase, promote and discuss our projects.
