Hi all
am trying to use the spotify oembed for playlists on a website
was working recently fine but now get an error
eg
when testing
https://open.spotify.com/oembed?url=https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1DWYtg7TV07mgz?si=OTx1DyDhSPK5q5V1CTR5NQ
it returns an error page
while normal track/album such as below works
https://open.spotify.com/oembed?url=https://open.spotify.com/track/3t9dq1I2VKPmEcatwRkJ9P?si=wiE4-lvCS3iOi7Iqjn7tRQ

This affects any WordPress users that want to embed Spotify playlists.
Documentation suggests playlists should work fine: https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/widgets/guides/adding-a-widget/#wordpress
WordPress
WordPress contains its own built-in player that you can use to play Spotify tracks, albums, and playlists. In a Spotify player, next to the name of an artist, track, album or playlist name, click the More (…) icon.
Select Copy Spotify URL or Copy Artist Link, Copy Track Link, and so on.
In your WordPress Dashboard, in the relevant page, enter the link.
Click Preview; WordPress then renders its own widget through which you can play music.
Songs work fine: https://open.spotify.com/oembed?url=https://open.spotify.com/track/4uLU6hMCjMI75M1A2tKUQC?si=MKLA7hRCTTuhyiXhuqvXeA
Artists work fine: https://open.spotify.com/oembed?url=https://open.spotify.com/artist/6ykfXAed2KOLOMI3R0TZdz?si=K4zmepbrSB6lH9elPxN9tg
Playlists don't: https://open.spotify.com/oembed?url=https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1DX1S1NduGwpsa?si=NFpoIkVtQMWYDlM-HGMPHg
Just wanted to add that we're also affected by this behaviour. Playlists used to work until recently. It still does for tracks, artists and albums. Any chance that this gets fixed soon?
Thank you for reporting this, folks. I was able to reproduce the problem and we're looking into it further here. I'll post in this thread after I have an update.
How much longer until this gets fixed? I am waiting to publish a bunch of content until this is solved. It's been 4 weeks since this bug has been identified.#
We are also waiting from a large media house where a paper cant publish spotify-playlists in their articles.
As of sometime this week no embed wordpress embed's using open.spotify.com/oembed are working. No output. tested in multiple Wordpress installs.
Same here. Playlist and singles return the same error page.
Same here again.
As of this morning they appear to be working again
