My Question or Issue

I am able to login to Spotify for Developers (https://developer.spotify.com  ) as evidenced by the fact I can see it knows my top 5 tracks at the bottom of the page. However, it still displays 'Log In' and not my profile picture on the top right corner of the screen. 

 

Then, when I go to  https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-  and go to 

 

Getting Started

  1. Log into the dashboard using your Spotify account.

 

Where dashboard is a hyperlink to https://developer.spotify.com/dashboard ,  I receive an error message saying 'Your session has expired, please login again.' on a red heading on a white background.

 

I have tried logging in on my phone and it works fine. I have tried multiple browsers on my mac and have the same problem on each. What can I do to solve this problem?
