Using Spotify API to train Recommender System (educational purpose)

Hello,

I want to use the Spotify API specifically the metadata of tracks and playlists like release date, popularity...) to train a recommender system for my bachelor thesis which is about the impact of human feedback on recommender system in field of music. The app and the thesis will not be public.

Is there a way for me to get permission to use the Spotify API as this is going against ToS?

You can't use spotify data to "train" any artificial intelligence model. It's against their rules and they're not going to allow it whatsoever.
