client id error

I created a basic app on the developer page, put in a specific callback address.  When I go to the address and try to authorize for the first time I get a page that just says client id: invalid

Yes — that “Client ID: invalid” error usually indicates that the issue lies with the `client_id` sent in the authentication URL, rather than necessarily the redirect URI.

The Spotify flow requires the `client_id` to match exactly the ID generated for the app in Spotify for Developers.

• Copy the Client ID again
• Go to your app in Spotify for Developers.
• Go to Settings.
• Copy the Client ID.
• Check your code to ensure it doesn't look like this:

const clientId = "YOUR_CLIENT_ID";
