verification/Approval for IOS application

verification/Approval for IOS application

I'm an IOS developer who has been going through an entrepreneurial development contest. The idea has been doing quite well and has potential for funding and further development but I need to confirm compliance with the TOS first as I'm uncertain if it will since it has a weird mix of things that fit multiple categories of examples listed.

The core feature would involve altering based on external factors both given by the user and read by our app, what I wasn't sure is if that would be considered similar to the "pressing a button to automatically play a song" example of what not to do. This will involve a lot more than just that but would rather not give all the details on a public platform.

There are other features possibly coming later but that was the main feature that we were uncertain about.

It's always a good idea to review the App Store Review Guidelines to ensure compliance with the TOS. Without specific details about your app, it's difficult to determine if your core feature would be considered a violation of the guidelines.

Regarding the example you mentioned about pressing a button to automatically play a song, it's important to note that this example is listed under the "User Interface" section of the guidelines. The purpose of this guideline is to ensure that the user is in control of the app and can easily understand the app's functionality.

If your app's core feature involves altering based on external factors given by the user and read by your app, as long as the user is in control of initiating the action and can easily understand the app's functionality, it should not violate this guideline. However, it's always a good idea to seek legal advice and/or consult with Apple's App Review team for clarification on specific features.

Additionally, it's important to keep in mind that there are other guidelines that your app must comply with, such as those related to privacy, data storage, and advertising. So, make sure to review all guidelines thoroughly and ensure that your app complies with each of them
I’ll be doggone if I don’t hear from you,
