Recently i have a new card, so to extend my subscription i needed to add new payment method.
When I pressed magic button "add payment method" for some reason they showed me that I'm going to buy premium for duo (even tho I had a student subscription). I didn't want to get premium duo, so I pressed "change my plan", but...
When I wanted to press select on student, it was only subscription without this type of button and it said that it's my current plan. I assumed that "premium for duo" sign is just a bug and... It wasn't a bug.
Is there any way to get my money back and get my student subscription, or spotify app (btw this was on an android app) just scammed me and I should just wait another month to change my plan?

Hey there @Fr0dech,
Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!
You can change your subscription type from your Account page > Available Subscriptions > Premium Student. After that's done your Premium time will be automatically recalculated to account for the price difference between plans.
You'd need to make sure that your Student discount is active and verified in order to get Premium Student.
If you think you deserve a refund, check out this support article.
Hope this info helps 🙂

Hey! Same thing happened to me in the mobile app, but when I switched to the desktop version, it let me update payment settings for the individual premium plan like it's supposed to.
They just got me as well, took me to a page to change payment method but for some reason "I didn't notice" it had already selected the increased plan even though I had been paying for the $9.99 individual plan for years. It's so weird that they would have a plan increase by default when changing payment methods. This is not a system flaw nor bug it is by design 💯
