My Question or Issue

Good evening. I tried to create an account for my daughter, but when I insert birth day the registration system says to me that age limit is not satisfied, but my daughter has more that 13 years.

Is there a way to solve my issue?

Thanks a lot, best regards.

Hey @pf70, and welcome to the community.

Hope you're doing great!

Could you try sending your daughter another invite using a different browser or incognito mode? If that doesn't help, try sending another invite using a different email address.

Let me know how this goes 🙂

Hi,

same issue here. I'm from Italy too. My daughter is 13 years old since last May but I cannot create a free account for her.

The subscription form returns an error as soon as I insert her YEAR of birth.

Please fix it.

Thanks!

Hi.
As stated during a support chat session, the age limit has been changed
some days ago.
At that time the policy still stated 13 as age limit, but the date check is
already implemented with new value that it should be updated to 18, if I
remember correctly.

Best regards.

I were able to check Terms and Conditions and it's still stated that age
limit is 13 years old (a parent's approval is required anyway).
I will try to contact again support to ask clarification
Best regards.

Pleas keep me informed, thank you.

If we comply to terms and conditions as we do, we should be allowed to subscribe our daughters...

I just finished a chat session with support.

It seems that age limits are changed due to comply with new GDPR requirements in some EU countries, but the chat operator was not able to list new values.

He will forward the problem and I will be contacted via email to get additional informations.

I asked him to inform that Terms and Conditions page should be updated with new values.

Best regards

Thank you for information.

If I insert 2005 instead of 2006 as birth year the subscription process lets me continue.

So:

1) maybe the new age limit for Italy is 14 years old

or

2) the subscription algorithm just checks the birth year and that’s all, without checking birth month and day.

Imho number 2 is what’s happening...
