My Question or Issue

I want to change my CC to a new one, even though it is an israeli card I get an error message saying: "Your payment method and country don't match. To continue, change your account's location or use a different payment method.".

Again, my selected account's country is IL and the CC is an israeli one..

Can someone help me with that?

 Could you try using another browser or incognito mode to see if that makes a differnence? If that doesn't help, could you send me a screenshot of the error message you're recieving? Please hide sensitive info when posting to the community.

I have tried both incognito and a different browser, it's not working.

Could you try using another device, using a different home network? Also, its's important not to use a VPN in this case.

I tried it also on a different device with a different network, still not working..

 

I wasn't using a VPN but I don't see why it would matter since the validation is between the country selected on my profile and the CC country.

 

Do you have an actual lead on why this is happening? Do you know of a way to contant some spotify support via Email or something?

Thanks for the reply 🙂 Let's get some troubleshooting done first to see if we can get this issue resolved.

 

This seems like an issue with the card. Let's double check that you:

  • have the correct country settings of the card to match the ones in the account
  • currently reside in Israel
  • tried shifting between Wifi and mobile data

Also, keep in mind that if you have moved somewhere permanently, you do need to change the country settings on your account as explained in this support article.

I am an Israeli citizen and live in Israel, my selected country is Israel as you can see at the bottom of my screen shot.

My card is an Israeli card issued by Leumi Card.

I did change the wifi to mobile network, I turned the wifi off and tried and then turned the mobile network off and wifi on.

This seems odd. Could you try contacting your bank to see what they can do on their end?
